In four days, on September 24, 2008, I will have been on dA for one year!!!

I'm glad that I started deviantart a year ago. It's given me a lot of inspiration to create some amazing art. I've learned so much from other pixel artists like daporta, fool, ShoneGold, jalonso, celinh0, de-Thch, gas13, thUg-inc, zi, vanmall, zoggles, bgr, and multivitamin. These 13 deviants are, in my opinion, the best pixel artists in the world. I feel honored to have some of my works compared to theirs(obviously not a lot of them). Maybe someday I'll get Photoshop and leave MS Paint behind as a fond memory.

I remember the first week I was on dA. I submitted my Escher's Waterfall piece which was nominated for a DD which I received on the second day!!! I have to admit that I didn't even know what was going on. I would log onto dA and there would be hundreds of messages on my profile and work. I had about ten devwatches within the first week as well. That got me really pumped about dA and I put more work up. This past August was the first month I've gone on dA without any devwatches . But it's alright.

September 27, 2008 is my 17th birthday. I'm not supposed to give my age out on the internet but what the heck. A lot of people are surprised that I'm 17 and a pixel artist but I've got time and a computer. Not much else to do. I've won two awards at the state level for my two cities in my gallery.

I haven't submitted any "complete" works for a longgg time. I've submitted many WIPs in an attempt to get critique for my attempt at a new style. I'm trying to go from isometric to realism. Don't get me wrong I love isometric. But as an artist I would like to branch out and try something new. One of the many thrills of being an artist. So I've decided to make a project for ShoneGold's Spooky PixelArt contest. It's coming along well but you won't see any WIPs until I submit it. The faces are probably not going to be finished anytime soon and I think I will be moving the first face WIP to another area of my Gallery.

All is well with me and I hope it is with all of you. I look forward to your comments and fav's on my new works!!(haha. yeah right)
